POLES APART project is the quest for the thread — if one does in fact exist — that connects two diametrically opposite points on the land, sea, or sky of our earth. It is a reflection on the concept of identity in the 21st century, through an investigation of antipodean places, spaces, locations and sites. Life, art, history, human geography, similarity, and chance, are all sides to consider in an examination of the intimate relation between a pair of antipodes.

The aim of POLES APART project is the investigation of the intimate relation between a pair of spots the more distant between one another on the dry lands of earth.
A deep reflection on life, geographic opposites, similarity and chance. Those slight, feeble analogies between what is only apparently opposite.

Check the POLES APART map here.

The idea is to turn the world’s vision upside down. Or to look at it the other way round.
